Data protection
Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection provisions of the Swiss Confederation (Data Protection Act, DSG), every person is entitled to protection of their privacy and protection against misuse of their personal data. We comply with these provisions. Personal data is treated as strictly confidential and is neither sold nor passed on to third parties. As a rule, it is possible to use our website without providing personal data. If personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail address) is collected on our pages, this is done on a voluntary basis whenever possible. Some of this data is passed on to third parties in accordance with this privacy policy. We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties cannot be guaranteed.
Cookies
Internet pages sometimes use so-called cookies. Cookies are harmless – they do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies enable us to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are saved by your browser and stored on your computer. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit to the Internet. Other cookies remain stored on your computer until you delete them manually. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you completely deactivate the use of cookies, the functionality of this website may be restricted.
Hosting provider and server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called “server log files”, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are
- IP address
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
This data cannot be directly assigned to a specific person. This data is not merged or compared with other data sources. If we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use, we reserve the right to check this data retrospectively. This data and all data on this website is stored by our hosting provider METANET AG, Josefstrasse 218, CH-8005 Zurich, whose privacy policy can be found here.
SSL encryption
For security reasons, this site uses SSL encryption to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the requests you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. As long as SSL encryption is activated, the data transmitted to us cannot be read by third parties.
Contact form / registration forms
If you send us inquiries via the contact form or registrations via a registration form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
IP anonymization
The “IP anonymization” function is activated on this website. With this function, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission to the USA. The full IP address is only transmitted to a Google server in the USA in exceptional cases and only shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your visit to the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
